Tell Congress to Oppose the Mass Killing of Wolves!

The Bush Administration has just announced a plan to strip gray wolves in Greater Yellowstone and across the Northern Rockies of endangered species protection. In the meantime, the administration has handed down a rule that will allow the killing of hundreds of these endangered wolves. We must mobilize Congress against this brutal attack on an endangered species. Please ask your Representative to sign on to a letter drafted by Representative Nick Rahall of West Virginia that tells the administration to abandon its plan to strip wolves of endangered species protection and leave them vulnerable to mass killing.

I'm outraged that the Bush Administration has announced a plan to strip gray wolves in Greater Yellowstone and across the Northern Rockies of endangered species protection. In the meantime, the administration has revised the 10(J) rule to allow the killing of hundreds of these wolves.

I urge you to sign on to a letter drafted by Representative Nick Rahall of West Virginia that tells the administration to abandon its plan to remove these wolves from the endangered species list and leave them vulnerable to mass killing. The recovery of Yellowstone's wolves is one of the greatest success stories of the Endangered Species Act -- one supported and paid for by the American people. The return of the wolf has revived both the environment and the economy of the Northern Rockies. Please don't let this dramatic success be reversed just to satisfy a few politically powerful constituencies.

I hope that Congress will unite against this senseless attack on an endangered species that is a world-renowned symbol of the American West. Please sign on to the Rahall letter before time runs out.
