The short explanation of this alert was:

We must halt the brutal killing of Yellowstone's buffalo by the National Park Service and Montana's Department of Livestock. It is unconscionable that more than 1,400 buffalo from America's last wild, free-roaming herd have been sent to the slaughterhouse in recent months. Tell the National Park Service to be the guardian of our country's wild bison -- not their executioner!
